About
Hello, my name is Luc Lapointe, I am 21 years old and I am looking to teach beginners at any sport (I specialize in golf, hockey and basketball). I am not a pro in any sport, but I am passionate about all of the sports and I played every sport possible for 21 years. I would have kept going in any sport but because of injuries and money, I couldn't carry on. I coached a kids (ages 10-12) basketball team to the finals. I coached kids Ice Hockey for 18 years as I played for 18 years. Great with kids, I don't have any of my own but I have a baby nephew and new born niece or nephew on the way. Do not look to me as a pro, just a friend giving you tips to be better!
I have created my best friendships playing sports and I want people who have never picked up a basketball or golf club, to find friendships like that and enjoy the sport they are playing while making friends.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually try to get to know the student and the parents of my students. I am not licensed or anything but I enjoy teaching people what I love to do and will explain why the sport they chose is the best option. I want students to feel comfortable with their enviroment and understand the basics of the sport.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a lot of experience and was taught by the best growing up to be the best athlete.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am flexible with prices, but depending on the sport it can vary from $50-$100 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I love kids and I love the reaction that kids give when they succeed in the sport they are playing. They show love and they cannot hide it.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids from ages 6-15 and adults ages 50-60.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't just hire a coach for the price or review, read what they have to say! If what you're looking for doesn't seem to fit for me, I can recommend a better coach for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Weaknesses.
