About
Lessons are tailored to each student's needs, as everyone learns differently, and has different strengths and weaknesses. Big components are working on producing a great tone, and developing a solid technique. We will work on a variety of different things, including duets, scales, etudes, and repertoire of different era.
I enjoy helping students reach their goals and discover their love for the flute!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically ask a new student to play a piece of music they've been working on so that I can accurately assess the level of their playing. I will then give them a short lesson on what they played to see how receptive they are to my style of teaching. After that, if necessary, I will recommend new books for the student to work on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in flute performance and studied with distinguished flutists such as Tara O'Connor and Elizabeth Buck.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $25 for half hour lessons and $40 for hour lessons in Scottsdale. Additional fees apply for in-home lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all levels and ages from elementary school to seniors. I enjoy working with students that are motivated to improve, as those students tend to practice outside of their lesson time, which helps the student improve at a quick rate.
