What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Most of my students are KIDS.  The main goals are to get some exercise, have fun and LEARN A Lot of TENNIS.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

TENNIS LESSONS:

I'm a USPTR Certified Tennis Instructor since June 2000.  I taught Tennis Lessons for 7 years from 2000 - 2007.  In 2001, I was the manager at The Tennis Hut at Eisenhower Park and I was the #2 Tennis Instructor in Nassau County.  

CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINING:

In 2015, I enrolled in an intensive 12-week, 72-hour In Class Instruction to become a Certified Personal Trainer.  I earned my Certificate in Personal Training and I graduated at the top of my class.  I am able to devise flexible Nutrition Plans that are easy to follow and allow you to achieve your goals.

EDUCATION TUTORING:

I graduated Hofstra University's New College Writing Program with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.  While a student at Hofstra, I worked for the University Tutorial (UTP) program from July 1994 - February 1998.  I tutored Introduction to Psychology and English Composition for 3.5 years. 

I am able to tutor Introduction to Psychology, ALL Writing (Creative, Poetry, Essays, Term Papers, Books, Screenplays), Proofreading, Editing and Public Speaking.

I taught Individual and Group Tennis Lessons to Children for 7 years.  Kids LOVE me!  I am able to tutor ALL grades from kindergarten to 9th grade.

With my teaching style, you will be motivated to learn and excel.  NOTE: Be prepared to study.  I will request that you become your best and this requires effort on your part.


Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Tennis Lessons are $40 an hour, $50 for 75 minutes, $60 for 90 minutes.  

For Introduction to Psychology, Writing, Editing, Proofreading, Public Speaking - including ALL in-person meetings are $30 an hour, $40 for 75 minutes, $50 for 90 minutes.


How did you get started teaching?

July 1994, I got hired to be a Psychology Tutor at the University Tutorial Program at Hofstra University in New York.

June 2000, I earned my Tennis Instructor Certificate from The United States Professional Tennis Registry at The U.S. Open Tennis Center in New York. 

March - June 2015, I earned a Certified Personal Trainer Certificate which required writing 6 scholarly essays, two 25-page Case Studies, answering 300 quiz questions and 260 Final Exam questions which covered an 800-plus page textbook on Biology, Health, Fitness and How to Write EXERCISE, DIET and NUTRITION Programs.


What types of students have you worked with?

TENNIS LESSONS:

I taught 2 separate Tennis TOT-Clinics at Eisenhower Park with 6 students per group ranging from age 4 to 8.  I also taught Individual Lessons while I worked full-time as the Tennis Pro Shop manager at the Tennis Hut.

I taught hundreds of Tennis Lessons to children, adults and the elderly.

EDUCATION TUTORING:

I taught College-level Introduction to Psychology and English Composition for 3.5 years at The University Tutorial Program at Hofstra University.

I graduated Hofstra University's New College Writing program with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. I Excel at written and verbal communication skills.  And I have the ability to TEACH Students HOW TO be a Better Writer, Better Speaker and Better Communicator.
