About
I currently work for one of the top private volleyball clubs in the country as a head coach as well as coach High School. Regardless of the athletes level of play, the goal is to further their athletic ability and competitiveness within the sport. I offer training at every level and am able to identify the strengths and weakenesses of the athlete to help create a successful strategy. I am certified with SafeSport, registered as a coach through the USAV Region as well as AAU. I have certifications in all skills through The Art of Coaching and pride myself in evolving my knowledge of the sport to be the best coach I can be.
Volleyball has set my soul on fire since I was a little kid. From playing to coaching, it consumes majority of my days still even as an adult. I adore all the athletes I come into contact with, seeing them fall in love with the sport and drive to become the best athlete they can be reminds me just why I do what I do. Volleyball is a community, and I love every part of it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I find out if they have any history playing the sport, what position they have played or aspire to play and go from there. From there I generate a strategy appropriate to advance their skills and help them become successful in volleyball.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I played volleyball for 8 years. I have been coaching coaching at a professional level for two years now. The private club I coach for is ranked 63rd out of 4500 clubs in the country. I am currently registered and have a membership with the USAV of Arizona, I am certified through the AAU and have multiple certifications through The Art of Coaching. I also have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
When holding private lessons at the club I coach for the you are responsible for the $20 court fee as well as my hourly rate. All rates are dependent on the athletes skill level, frequency and duration of the session.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started coaching upon graduation from high school. I began helping out with running camps and clinics for both high school and club. It wasn't until I moved to Arizona that I began coaching at a professional level for club volleyball. I have coached for two organizations here in the state as a head coach And will be coaching high school volleyball in the fall as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have coached every age from second grade all the way up to seniors in high school. I am confident at both a beginner, intermediate and advanced level of coaching.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that I am the most fond of is the Festival Fiesta Volleyball Classic here in Arizona that takes place over The holiday weekend every February. It gives my athletes an opportunity to compete with other players from across the country at the cardinal stadium. It is the most incredible experience! We look forward to it each year.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to any athlete looking to embark in personal training is to have an open mind, come ready to work hard, be focused and willing to lay it all out on the court. I also encourage practice at home in between sessions to allow for optimal growth.
