Kevin Wathey comes from an extensive athletic background having played Ice Hockey the majority of his life. After graduating from High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, he took his talents to Florida to continue his athletic career. Returning home after 2 seasons on the east coast, Kevin enrolled in college at Arizona State University and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Theater. During his time at ASU he gained strong foundations in Anatomy, Physiology, Breath and Movement. While yoga played a role in his life, it wasn’t until his acting endeavors took him to Bali, Indonesia that he adopted yoga as a lifestyle. Kevin lives his life by the mantra, “Education is what is done to you, learning is what you do to yourself.” and with this in mind, he decided to get his 200HR Yoga Teacher Certification through Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. After graduating in 2015, Kevin founded Synchronicity Yoga in hopes to share the positivity that yoga brought to his life with others.
It is often said that you dont find yoga, yoga find you. For me, that was completely true. Yoga and meditation has changed my outlook on life and brought a sense of bliss we often lose sight of. I love that through private instruction I can tailor the sessions around the particular student and provide a comfortable setting to allow each practitioner to grow!

I assess the student based on their background in yoga and as well as during the first class. Based on that, I determine the best plan of action so the student gains the most from each lesson.

I was on an acting trip to Bali, Indonesia and while living in the commune there, I went to a Yoga class every morning at 6am for 40 days and it completely revolutionized my life and my thought process.
I have work with students ranging from 10-65, all athletic backgrounds and all body types. Yoga is not something you conform to, it is something that is tailored to the student.
I had the opportunity to attend the Wanderlust Yoga and Meditation festival in O'ahu, Hawaii this year and it provided great opportunities to learn from some of the world best instructors. This has allowed me to bring home fresh ideas and consistently incorporate new ideas into my own teachings!
Know what you want to achieve out of the lessons, or come in with an open mind willing to try new things.
