Backyard Baseball
About
I'm a former MLB player who played professionally for 12 years. I've been coaching and training players for the last 25 years. I've Coached at all levels of baseball including travel ball, high school, and college. I'm very passionate about baseball and feel that thru my experiences and knowledge of playing and coaching I'm able to help my student improve there game tremendously.I've had many of my former players and students go on to play college and professional baseball. In the last two MLB drafts 2018-19 I have 40 of my former players sign contracts with professional teams. I do the individual lessons I don't use my name and then have someone else teaching the lesson. I can travel to do lessons or I have a facility in Goodyear that I use for lessons. If you're interested please give me a call 650-407-0408.
I enjoy watching the players get better at something they put there mind and effort to. I like to see the players trust the process as opposed to just to just chasing the goal. Not all my players will play in college or the professional level but they will all understand how hard work and perseverance made them not only a better player but also a better person. That will be something they can carry with them the rest of there lives.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will first meet and have a lesson. We will talk about what this individual player would like to accomplish or work on thru these lessons. I want these players to understand that this process doesn't happen in one or two lessons. It takes time and a number of lessons to try and understand how they need to get there body moving and to put it in the right position to be successful we there they're hitting or fielding.

$80 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
My passion to get players to be the best players they could become.
What types of students have you worked with?
All levels ages 9-60
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Talk to the person first and see if they're knowledgeable about what they're talking about. Also have them describe what you would be teaching them or there child.Ask the instructor some different questions about baseball or hitting to see how much they know. Is this a person that can communicate with my son or daughter. Just because someone played at a high level doesn't mean that they know how to communicate and coach it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What does the student want from these lessons?
How is this coach gonna make them better?
What technique or drills is the coach gonna teach the player?
