Our instructors combine the game of basketball with the game of life. Our main purpose is to teach our athletes to use the game, not let it use them. I have been teaching K- NBA since 1978. This crazy game has supported my family for 40+years. We care as much about teaching the student athlete as about basketball. I just finished coaching at the inaugural NCAA COLLEGE BASKETBALL ACADEMY, West Region. Some of the top coaches and Student Athletes in the Country. I had the pleasure of working with Earl Watson, Steve Lavin, John Moore , Gannon Baker and Steve Spencer to name a few. 20 Coaches were selected from all the applicants, that applied from around the country. I played and coached in the Catholic High School League in NYC for 19 years combined. I’ve coached thousands of young men and women at all levels. I have coached hundreds of D1 athletes and a dozen professional players. In 2001 my 1974 high school team was inducted into our hall of fame at St. Peter’s Boys High School, Staten Island NY. We are still the only undefeated (22-0) team in NYC 45 years later. I was voted Captain and MVP of the team. I made the Staten Island All Stars and the NYC DAILY NEWS all stars 1974. The top 60 players in NYC were selected for that honor. I was assistant coach on the 1983 St. Peter’s team that beat Bishop Loughlin (mark Jackson) In the quarter finals , And Archbishop Molloy (Kenny Smith) in the finals. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by giving the student some , shooting, ball handling, dribbling jumping to test their level or ability. I then tailor a work out for them specifically. I will give the student homework in between sessions. I will be as succinct and honest about the students abitied

I have been coaching and teaching since 1978. As a player, i made the NY DAILY NEWS
ALL STAR TEAM. One of the top 60 players in NYC, when basketball was king.

How did you get started teaching?
I knew I always wanted to teach and coach. Right out of HS, I was fortunate enough to get a job at my old HS. The rest is history
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every and any student who wants to work and be taught. I have worked with players From K- NBA level.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be careful!!! You want someone of character as well as someone knowledgeable of the game.

What are my goals, for academics and athletics?
