Very professional. Training both in group style and one on one was phenomenal. Feel very confident with gun handling, cleaning and knowledge after working with Paul.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Private firearms training sessions are 100% student oriented. The student sets their own pace so there is no pressure, and safety is always first.

With focused instructor attention, students typically experience extraordinary results in short periods of time.

Confidence and competence skyrocket.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

US Army Airborne Infantry, more than 12 years Army.

Sworn Police Patrol Officer, Grand Rapids, MI.

Over 18 years training civilians at all skills levels on handguns, rifles, shotguns and self-defense/personal safety.

Possesses MULTIPLE Instructor Certifications and continues to train to stay current and up-to-date with the latest guns, gear, optics and training/teaching techniques.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Private One-on-One Intro Level training is 3-hours for $150.

One-on-One Skill Builders are $85/Hour, or $100 for 90 minutes.

CCW Classes are $75 and includes fingerprinting. (Paul is one of Tucson's most experienced CCW instructors with over 13 years training Arizonans and teaching AZ Law.)

How did you get started teaching?

My first Training Coordinator position was in the US Army in August 1989.

Later in the Army, Paul obtained several Instructor certifications, serving as a Weapons Instructor in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

What types of students have you worked with?

Paul has trained Military, Law Enforcement, responsibly armed citizens and even kids.

From 1st time shooters, to experienced tactical shooters, Paul has a broad base of knowledge and effective teaching style.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Paul taught an 82 year old man with Parkinsons to not only shoot - but shoot very well! He was a first-time shooter!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Due to strict and serious nature of firearms and firearms training, we strongly encourage ANY STUDENT to always do their homework - and vet ANY potential firearms instructor - because ANYONE can obtain a "firearms instructor certification." Check them out. Search out their reviews. Ask around the community. Find the Instructor that has a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals - safely and effectively - while keeping it fun!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Students should consider what they need - a concealed gun gun, a home defense gun, or something that can do both.

Then students should appreciate that OWNING a gun doesn't make anyone safer. KNOWING how to use it safely, effectively and appropriately does.
