Mandar enjoys teaching art to students at all levels of skill. NO EXPERIRNCE NECESSARY. He helps you to connect with your own creative spirit in a fun and relaxed way. His class always starts with a live demo/ illustration followed by individualized instruction. Mandar is an award winning artist who loves to paint vibrant landscapes scenes of the SF Bay area in the medium of soft pastels.
Mandar recognizes the important role art plays in creating physical, emotional and spiritual healing and strives to share the experience with everyone through his art lessons.

The process of co-creating is very fullfilling to Mandar. He believes that everyone is an artist at the core. It's only a matter of connecting with that artistic spark within and then the magic hapens in front of us.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mandar has been creating art all his life and loves rendering paintings in an energetic and vibrant style that's very much his own.
Mandar’s art was featured in two recent publications, Alameda Magazine and Alameda Architectural Preservation Society’s Quarterly publication. He was also the winner for the People’s Choice award at the 2017 Plein Air Paint Out event in Alameda that was participated by forty accomplished artists from all over the country.
Mandar worked in the fast paced world of financial services for 12 years before returning to his first passion of painting. He brings 16 years of professional experience and holds an MBA and bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He currently conducts workshops at the Frank Bette Center for the Arts in Alameda, CA.
