About
I began as a painter. Classically trained at the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Philadelphia College of Art, I learned, after several tortured years that I was a better photographer than a painter.
Shooting fashion and advertising in the 70s, later, in Sausalito, Ca, rock band albums and portraits. That morphed into Bio-Medical at 3 major teaching hospitals and then as Media Director for an NGO working in the jungles and river valleys of 5 3rd world countries.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We begin with an assessment of current knowledge and then lead your passion accordingly. I am not dogmatic. We work on your strengths once discovered, and seek to mitigate any acquired bad habits. I teach my workflow but the student is free to experiment and we will follow your passion wherever it leads. Assignments are expected to be completed.. I will work as hard as you do. It’s all about you.

A flat rate of 125.00 per hour. Extra charges for paper and ink if we print your work in house.
