What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initial meeting with the client to address their goals , scheduling , daily activities , and the clients time line of expectations.
We will begin the initial 1 hr training session.
Once the trainee has been accessed there will be a personal workout plan created specific to the players personal needs and or request then scheduling will commence.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have competed in college at an extremely high level earning numerous awards , one being All Southcoast Conference First Team honors for the state of California. Junior year ranked #5 in the NAIA in rebounding.
Entered into the D league draft in 2011 , received additional invites to workout with Bakersfield Jam , and several other teams. Attended the Iball Canadian recruitment camp.
I was employed by LA fitness , and Golds Gym in the personal training departments from 2013-15.
Coached at Calvary Chapel High School for 3 years , first as a volunteer , then moved up as assistant coach freshman , junior varsity head coach , and strength and conditioning coach.
Currently Head Skills Trainer and Head Coach for Open Gym Premier for the last 4 years.

$60 for Privates ( 1 player )
$50 for semi Privates ( 2 players)
$40 for small group ( 3-4 players )
$30 for team training ( 5-10 players )

FIT-LIGHT F.R.M.V. TRAINING
Fit-light pro athletic training as an additional service which focuses on fine motor control and coordination, neuroplastisity , endurance , movement and mobility , cognition , and visual processing.

How did you get started teaching?
I have always been passionate about being in a position to empower anyone that has a hunger for knowledge and personal growth.
Due to my extensive background in the sport of basketball allows me to pour in years of knowledge into an individual over the course of a training session.
What types of students have you worked with?
My client base has been limitless from the ages of 4-5 years to professional athletes.
The key areas of focus in my training sessions include but are not limited to :
shooting , passing , ball handling , speed , agility , power , strength , endurance , footwork , position specific drills.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I would not say I’m fond of a recent event I am fond of all my lessons.
It is the opportunity to share personable time with someone as they walk on their journey to success.
Many times it is a lonely road for the focused , but as an mentor I am given a front row seat into their mind and spirit as the trainee evolves into their own personal vision of a better self.
Although I must admit for the several clients that I have trained for the last couple years to have them come back to the gym or parents contact me to let me know their child made their high school , college , or pro team does put I bigger brighter smile on my face.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best situation is that you and your teacher can build on a personal level , and the players goals are always at the forefront.
Your sessions feel more like spending time with a trusted confidant and not like a required task.
Always when your sessions are over you have a sense of accomplishment , and growth and work doesn’t become routine.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
When entertaining the thought of pursuing any goal .......
Have they thought the entire process through ?
Have they considered the sacrifices it will take to complete their goal ?
What distractions or obstacles are you already aware of that may attempt to stop you from reaching your goal ?
What has been postponing you starting now ?
