Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As a player who had great coaches and some who were not, I have learned firsthand what it takes to push athletes to new heights without losing sight of having fun at the end of the day. Every athlete receives specialized training that is tailored to their age, skill level, goals, determination, motivation, and more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing basketball since grade school. From pick-up games at the park to tournament-level competitions, I have acquired a wide range of experience both on and off the court.

How did you get started teaching?
I first began organizing and running my own basketball classes for the city of Cerritos and Irvine in 2015.
What types of students have you worked with?
K-12, College-level, and disabled as well.
Junior High, AAU, High School, College, and Recreational Basketball players
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is very helpful to have clear goals in mind with respect to what you are looking to achieve. Do you want to build foundational skills or do you have specific skills that you want to improve and perfect? Understanding this will be very helpful and give your instructor a good idea of what kind of training will be most effective and beneficial to you.
Also, be patient... Rome wasn't built in a day!
Lastly, they say "practice makes perfect" but in reality, perfect PRACTICE makes perfect so be sure to choose Pain Hoops so you can achieve perfection!
