Mark is an amazing coach. I love that his skill and passion for basketball matches his love for teaching.  My daughter has shown a huge improvement in her shot accuracy and offensive game.  She is a much confident player and Marks training has greatly improved her in game performance.  I highly recommend Coach Mark to any parent that has a child that is serious about basketball and wants to improve their skills.

Coach Mark is a consummate professional. His attention to detail and development really shines in the basketball drills and skills work he gives each player. He doesn’t use a cookie cutter format for every person he coaches, instead, he customizes each workout based on what you need and what you want to achieve. He also knows how to keep things fun and balanced, a true sign of a great trainer. I’ve seen ball handling skills and in game shot selection improve thanks to working with Coach Mark. Looking forward to seeing more options in the bag with the continued work!

Working with Mark aka Pain Hoops, has been an overall great experience. My 10 year old son has improved his basketball skills to a whole new level. Pain Hoops has taken the time to improve every aspect of playing basketball whether it’s dribbling, or shooting. I highly recommend him as your child’s coach. He is flexible on schedule and is willing to accommodate with your schedule.

Mark worked really well with my son. He was straight forward and gave him great instuction on how to complete the drills he was teaching him. Mark also kept him engaged and made the drill fun being my son is only 5 it can be hard to keep his attention.

    Frequently asked questions

As a player who had great coaches and some who were not, I have learned firsthand what it takes to push athletes to new heights without losing sight of having fun at the end of the day. Every athlete receives specialized training that is tailored to their age, skill level, goals, determination, motivation, and more.

I have been playing basketball since grade school. From pick-up games at the park to tournament-level competitions, I have acquired a wide range of experience both on and off the court.

It is very helpful to have clear goals in mind with respect to what you are looking to achieve. Do you want to build foundational skills or do you have specific skills that you want to improve and perfect? Understanding this will be very helpful and give your instructor a good idea of what kind of training will be most effective and beneficial to you.

Also, be patient... Rome wasn't built in a day!

Lastly, they say "practice makes perfect" but in reality, perfect PRACTICE makes perfect so be sure to choose Pain Hoops so you can achieve perfection!
