About
I craft my lessons to each individual student.
I'm extremely patient, positive, and communicative about a sport I truly love.
I can work with multiple students at a time if there is a friend, teammate, or sibling that is also interested.
Background check and Livescan completed for coaching in the City of Burbank.
I specialize in helping the beginner or intermediate youth softball/Baseball player improve their skills and understand the game so that they can join a team with confidence.
I also can hep the older players understand the mental aspect of the game and how to take pride in their improvements no matter what level they may be at.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I evaluate their current skills with some simple exercises, listen to them and their parents to find out what goals they have. Then I devise a set of safe and fun exercises to patiently build their skills without fear of embarrassment in front of a new team.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In my youth I played baseball intensely up throught the high school level. Attending several high level instruction camps for hitting, catching, and all around play in New Orleans, LA.
I played in several recreational adult softball leagues over the past 20 years in the LA area.
I've served as assistant coach for my daughter's 10u and 12u softball teams and run independent practice/lessons to help develop players who wanted to improve or get up to speed.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 for 30min
$35 for 45 min
$50 for 1 hour
$225 for a 5 lesson pack.
Negotiable for 2 and 3 student classes.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught private music lessons for children and adults for my first job out of college.
And with softball and basbaly simply helped out people on my own softball teams who were having a tough time keeping up. Soon people were asking me for a private lesson here an there.
After watching my daughter's league I saw the need to help kids get the basics down and improve their existing skills to go to thew next level.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginner to low intermediate softball and baseball players up to 12U. Some adult slowpitch and 14U.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching a first year player have a quality at bat against an experienced travel ball pitcher and nearly getting a hit. She had just learned a new timing technique that allowed her to get the bat around fast enough to foul off several hard pitches. Seeing a look that says "I can do this" in their eyes was quite a treat.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be honest about the level you're at. There's no shame in being a beginner or a player who just never got proper instruction. If there's a particular aspect of the game that's always been hard, point that out.
And don't be afraid to ask questions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I love and not love about playing baseball/softball?
I like to connect these so that they player experiences the fun and satisfaction of improvement.
You can build habits to get better at anything and learn to take pride in self improvement.
