About

Hello my name is Matthew Lee, but you can call me Coach Matt or Coach Lee!

I am a Basketball Trainer/Coach based in Orange County

I have been in the Basketball training business for 5 years now.

But before making the decision to help others with my knowledge as a trainer, I was a player and student of the game myself.

I played my 4 years of High school Varsity basketball at Village Christian Schools, then transitioned into the professionals where I had a stint Overseas.

I currently am still Studying, my major is along the areas of teaching and understanding the psychology of human's response.

Something I teach newcomers and beginners, are the internal and external fundamentals needed to help grow the child and/or player's understanding of basketball while also enjoying the process of "getting better"

Enough about me! Let's get BETTER at basketball and let me get to know you too!!

Coach Matt is a very detailed trainer, he listened to my requests and needs and was immediately ready to help train those very skills. His workout provided good practice for in game situations with drills with focused intensity as well as giving advice that was especially helpful for guards.

Matt are very great on detail, like shooting form. And he pay a lot of attention during the training. He also teach how to do the off ball movement on the game, if you are a shooting guard or point guard, I strongly recommend you to take Matt to your training.

Frequently asked questions

I go by the speed of the student, for the most part I test their conditioning and from there I work according.
I am currently studying as a kinesiology major. I have trained in different Asian countries like, Korea, Taiwan, and China. I am still learning and not afraid to accept that:)
My Pricings* Per sessions: 40$ + 10$ if I drive to you I also do bundles per request*

I started teaching through an opportunity of a friend's father who is a Professional Basketball trainer himself, I interned for about 2 years where I learned a lot about teaching skills and basketball therapy.

I have worked with a variety of age groups from 4-18 year olds, college athletes, and far as NBA basketball players.

I was honored to have the opportunity to work with a Division 1 collegiate basketball player, can't name names, but he was coming back from an ACL setback. He and I programmed 3 weeks of hardwork 6-7 times a week. He is now in route to playing professionally in Europe.

Commitment is the most important thing. I have no personal judgement on trying new things from different coaches but it is best to build trust with someone who knows what you need.
"If you were to define your style of play, what would it be?" This is super important because, I think it is vital that the coaches are teaching what is applicable and is applied by the coaches themselves.
