About

I've been teaching a long time in the public as well as private sector, and believe lessons should be exciting, fun as well as educational. I strongly encourage reading skills and also nurture ear training, and creativity. I was classically trained in piano, voice and guitar, but also enjoy teaching pop and jazz. If you're looking for a good teacher who is flexible and diversified, you've come to the right place. I have many references with students of all ages.

I love to see my students enjoy the gift of music in their lives, and excell! As I have been teaching many years, I understand the difference between teaching a child and adult, and it is a very different process. My students and their accomplishments are my best referrals :)

Ms.Rhonda is an incredible teacher who loves what she does. She knows what a gift it is to have music as a form of expression and is dedicated to teaching that gift to everyone who crosses her path. She truly cares about her students and her community. We love Ms.Rhonda!

Rhonda has been teaching my two children (now 8 & 10) for just over two years. Her tecnique, experience, and dedication has enabled my children to develop a joy for music; while imprinting dedication and willingness to improve. My wife and I highly recommend Rhonda.

    Frequently asked questions

I first asses their level, then choose the right method books according to their level and temperment. I have found it's not cookie cutter. Different students need different methods.

I went to the "Fame" High School in NYC , "Music and Art".  for voice. Then attended first, Boston University and on to Florida International University where I recieved my Degree in Music for both piano and voice with a minor in Education.

It was there that I met my voice teacher, Paul Csonka, who was also the Music Director and Conductor of the Palm Beach Opera. Shortly after graduation, for the next 6 years until leaving Florida, I joined his private company as the Assistant Director of the Palm Beach Theatrical Agency. We put on monthly productions,  throughout Southern Florida, of condensed operas as well as musicals.  We went twice a year to NYC to audition singers for our shows and worked with them preparing them for their roles.

All my life I've been surrounded with the fine arts. I started piano lesson at 5 yrs old, and continued with lessons throughout college. My mother was a painter and my father was a Tenor singer in the USO shows during WWII and continued to sing on Broadway after the war.

Music is a very important element of life and I love sharing the magic of music with others.

    In my home  $35 - 1/2 hr             $65- 1 hr

    Your home    $55- 1/2 hr             $80 - 1 hr

Lesson times all depend on age and readiness

I was asked to step in as the music director at a private school in Florida. I started doing that part time and then the parents reached out to me to give their children private music lessons, piano, voice and guitar. After moving to CA I got involed with a local elementry school, Colfax Elemntry, and started their music program. Once again I was asked by the parents, to teach privately.

5 yrs old to Adults. Individually as well as classroom settings.

I have also worked with emotionally challenged students such as autistic and tourette's syndrome

My yearly holiday shows at retirement homes :)

It's a wonderful way to introduce new talent to the community, and bring joy to the residents. It also teaches young students about community service.

It should be geographically desirable, be a good fit, and have fun during lessons.

Basically what they are looking to get out of lessons, and if there is a certain area or style of music they want to learn.
