My goal with every student is to create balance, touching all aspects of the students needs; physical, mental, and spiritual. You will be guided and inspired to create the conditions within your own self for enduring mind/body transformation.

I have known Laura Urgelles for many years as her student as well as her employee when she was Director of Yoga Fusion Studio in Bethesda, MD. Laura is a beautiful, enthusiastic, creative yoga teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed her classes and her positive presence. In addition, I think so highly of her as a kind, compassionate and beautiful human being.
She is very good at explaining poses and has a wonderful flow. Her classes are full of positive energy and you feel so good afterwards. She is cheery and calm and graceful and strong - a fabulous teacher.
I ask the studnt to answer a few questions to understand their goals, both immediate and long term. This is important so that we can design a personalized program and assess progress.
I am a former professional ballet dancer. Received my 200Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification in 2007 and now hold the E-200 RYT certification. In 2010 I opened my own studio with great success, and now I also free lance and teach privately to those looking for a more personalized approach.
I have trained and taken workshops with teachers like Max Strom, Shiva Rae, Indira Mohan, Neva Ingalls, and many others. Have been teaching different kinds of meditation since 2010 and also developed my own Yoga Teacher Training and have been training teachers since 2014.

I was a ballet dancer and a Yoga studio opened across the street form the ballet company. I took my first Yoga class and when I realized how stronger I was getting as a ballet dancer because of Yoga I was hooked. I became a tecaher and started tecahing in that same studio right away.
I have worked with students from all paths of life. From the mid twenties woman looking for strength, to the middle age man looking for more flexibility. I also teach prenatal Yoga and Yin Yoga.
A student of mine sent me a thank you note saying that my teaching and my studio had changed his life. It was incredibly rewarding to know I had made a difference in his life.
My advice to all students is come with a beginners mind to every practice. Also, if you are already strong work on your flexibility, and if you are flexible, work on your strength. I believe achieving balance is the key to optimize wellbeing.
Find a teacher not that will tell you exactly what to do, but one that will inspire you to connect to and strengthen your inner voice, so you can do your best every day.
