Mission Vista Varsity Hitting Coach

Hello my name is Timothy Williams. I’ve played baseball for 23 years. I attended GeorgeFox University as an outfielder where I hold the All time triples record and in the top ten for the single season doubles record.

I continued my career professionally in the MiLB playing for the San Diego Force, the Washington Wild Things and the Vallejo Admirals. In the 6 seasons played I was runner up for offensive player of the year in the frontier league. I was also named offensive player of the year and defensive player of the year for the San Diego Force.

I was then given the opportunity to play for the Colorado Rockies organization but tore my MCL in spring training thus ending my career.

Currently I am the Varsity outfield and hitting coach for Mission Vista High school. This is my second year as a high school coach. I also run a 14-17 year old summer program with two X-pros as well. Our goal in this program is for our kids to develop their strength, conditioning, overall skills and knowledge of the game to be BEST prepared for high school season.

What I love about this game is you have to control what you can control. Meaning your attitude, your mental state, your effort, the work you put in and your character on and off the field! If you can give your all in these areas, baseball becomes just a little easier. What many call a game of failure, there is always a place where you can succeed but it comes with controlling what you can control.

Working with me, I specialize in building confidence mentally and turning my hitters into guys that compete. In all my years of baseball from high school through pro ball, I’ve never hit below .300 and I’ve always been a fan favorite because my attitude and how I approached the game of baseball. I was a great ball player but the best part of my game was my attitude, my confidence in success and how I handled adversity.
