How does that saying go?

"Do what you love, and youll never work a day in your life"

I look back on my journey in learning guitar and realize how much fun it was. I spent so much time breaking things down on my own. I like to think I have a better view on how to learn/play an instrument than most teachers. I always put my self in my students shoes and very confident I can help overcome any road block.

    Frequently asked questions

First lesson is usually spent getting to know each other. I like to see what kind of music you like, and any other music interest you have.

Depending on your skill level, I establish what you know and fill in pieces as we go. I do work off of a lesson plan. But each lesson we have will be hand crafted based off that first day.

    Beginners:

I teach at your speed. Our lessons really reflect off the time you spend on what we learn at home. I still encourage pushing foward, but ill never give you more than what you can handle.

When learning a new concept or technique, I'll apply it to something relatble to what you like!

Ive been playing guitar for almost 20 years and teaching for about 10 years. I've been in many bands, touring and recording.

I went to school for Music Performance and Education. Along the way I have learned to play other instruments such as Drums, Bass, Ukulele, Piano, Mandolin and Banjo.

I've also worked in many guitar shops and have had many students which all still play and some in bands.

I charge $160 for at home lessons (2 lessons)

If you are further than 13 miles from San Pedro I charge $185. (North of the 110/ East of Highway 19)

Online lessons are available upon request. I typically teach through zoom but currently trying out a new website. so plese contact me for more info.

Please feel free to ask me any questions!

After highschool I found a job that needed teachers, so I agreed to teach while also working in the pro shop.

Shortly after I found teaching to be very natural and fun!

Know what you want to learn a head of time.

If you're a beginner look for a teacher that you get along with. I say this because, you are going to want guidance through youre first year of playing. and a teacher that you dont like will be a living hell!

Last, be honest with your teacher. If you have interest in different areas of music, speak up. If you want to take a break from lessons and endure your own musical path, thats ok!

    Influences/Dreams such as:
Why do you want to learn this instrument?

What bands or songs do you like / type of music?

Have you ever wanted to play in a band?

Do you want to learn how to solo or write music?
