About this pro

Quality individual or small group basketball training can be very EXPENSIVE! For parents trying to significantly improve their child's game but do not want to deal with the exorbitant pricing, R.A.B. Basketball is both an affordable AND professional option. Results are immediate. Whether it's a new skill or different way of understanding the game, growth will ensue with every drill/challenge.  Adult sessions also available.

I absolutely love seeing players of all levels and ages improve on the court and how their hard work and willingness to learn translates to all aspects of life.

Rhett is very personable and my son enjoys the work outs. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Lesson were a great price for the service .

"Great insight, engaging, caring, and very skillful in coaching my son in the game of basketball. He not only provided my son with the encouragement he needs to succeed but also took the time to build a foundation of the skills he needed.

This review is long overdue and to put it simply, Rhett is the best. I've used other coaches, some former pro players. Rhett is not only is a student of the game, knows what he is doing but cares about his players. He will boost your game and your confidence as he did with my son, Daniel. Rhett exhibits character too, a trait that is becoming increasingly rare. Rhett is now in the Las Vegas area and we are in S CA but my son and I have even talked about driving all the way there for a lesson. He is that good.

In addition to knowing the fundamentals of the game inside and out, Rhett is a great communicator who knows how to speak to his audience and exhibit patience with his learners. His sessions with my son were both enjoyable and educational.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always ask about client's goals and what they would like to see as a result of the sessions, and then tailor the sessions according to their abilities and immediate needs. I explain the “why” and details behind what we do so both player and parent can continue the growth process outside of our sessions.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Coached at the high school level. Won D2 state title as an assistant coach for Lincoln Hornets in San Diego. Worked with multiple players on all levels, with some having played college and one who is currently in the NBA.
