About
I started playing baseball at 8. LL, Middle School, American Legion, High School, Connie Mack, Jr College and Mexican League playing experience. I have a background in IT and telecommunications so using technology by blast bat sensors and video analysis software came easy to me. I love to share my passion of the game to the younger generations. It doesn't seem like work to me.

I can’t say enough about Coach Dan’s knowledge and skills as a hitting coach. My daughter saw immediate results after one lesson and even made her first All Star team this season. He was able to use his knowledge and technology to quickly identify the deficiency’s in her swing and start correcting them. His coaching style is very patient and my daughter really enjoys working with him.

Coach Dan has been super great to work with. His experience and knowledge of baseball has improved our son’s skills. The motion analysis program that Dan uses has helped my son with his swing and shows where he needs improvement. We are so glad we found coach Dan as a coach and mentor for our son. We also look forward to continuing to work with him for the foreseeable future.

Dan is a great coach and expert hitting instructor. His positive approach has helped my son gain confidence and improve his swing. In just a few lessons my son has greatly improved his swing and is hitting the ball harder and farther. Thanks Dan.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet and greet with players and parents to understand their experience and expectations and then go through a player warm up, play catch with them, hit some balls off the tee and then identify with a detailed checklist the items that are a priority to work on and to determine effective drills and practice plan. Then use the blast sensor and Right View Pro hardware and software to video the swing, catch or throw to pinpoint efficient metrics and motions compared with the pros.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CPR/First Aid. CIF Fundamentals of Coaching. Concussion in sports. Department of Justice and FBI background check. Positive Coaching Alliance cardholder. 28 years playing experience, 40 years coaching lower level baseball and softball. RVP instructor with 15 years experience. Blast Motion instructor for 10 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50 per session. One hour, Usually lasts longer. You get a Blast Analysis of three swings, including bat speed, time to contact, attack angle, peak hand speed and power. Also included are swing quality readings - plane, connection and rotational acceleration. Lastly but not least, you get a video analysis of the swings for your records recorded by Right View Pro swing analysis software. Following that you also get the first drills targeting major issue found.
How did you get started teaching?
I’ve been coaching since I was 18. but at that time and some will say now as well, coaching didn't pay well. I started a family and was able to work in Global Logistics, Aerospace, IT and Telecommunications but never gave up my love of baseball and softball coaching my nephews baseball teams and my daughters softball teams as they grew to play in college.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginners all the way to college and Olympic hopeful.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Pinpointing some things that have had immediate fixes on some advanced players and the looks in the young players faces when they make great progress for the first time!.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are so many good people who want to coach and instruct and they have great experience and education. Depends on what level the student is.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Understand what are their short term goals and then what are their long term goals. That way the teachers will create proper practice plans for the student and all are getting the most from their experience together.
