I have been doing art since I was 5. I am a very positive, patient and compassionate person that is determined to help you learn and enjoy your art sessions. I can humbly say that I have been told multiple times that I am a good teacher ! I enjoy all ages, and feel art is my calling. Teaching and sharing my art with others is something that I love to do whether it is large or small group lessons, public events, or private art events.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Identifying their needs and goals to first ensure I am the right teacher for them. I talk about pricing to make sure we are in agreement with upcoming lessons, and discuss payment options. I discuss the times and dates available to ensure we are both available for our lesson. Lastly, dicuss other protocols like cancelations, rescheduling, and communication methods for any questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self taught artist. I have been doing art since I was 5. I took art in High School, and afterwards continued art on my own. In 2016, I received training as an Art Insructor and lead events of up to 42 people for a company called Paint Nite. Here I further developed painting and teaching skills specifically in Acrylic paints. I now have my own business and called Becky's Art World where I teach my own events, as well as create custom orders for customers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $30 per person for a private group paint party that lasts 2-2.5 hours, 10 individuals minimum. For individual art lessons, $40 per hour - classes held virtually. If group lesson is requested or non virtual classes needed, please feel free to message me directly.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in 2016 when I became an Art Instructor teaching paintings to groups of up to 42.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mainly adults and young adolecents.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just held a Sunset View Paint Party and it was really fun! We had 12 people and had a nice time with good music, fun painting techniques, and a beautiful view. I also recently had a small group of 4 in their home and taught a couple high school kids how to paint along with their mother. That was fun too!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you connect with your teacher and are fond of the teacher. Relationships are important when learning and teaching so that you feel comfortable and build trust. This is important for the times the student might get frustrated or feel like they messed up or failed in a class. A positive relationship will help the teacher comfort and encourage freely and make a positive impact.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are you patient?
Do you have passion for art?
Will you be comitted to actually learning and growing?
Will these classes help you for your future? (healing, mental health stability, depression treatment, becoming an art teacher, developing a new hobby etc.)
