About

Courtvizn is the premiere private and small group basketball sessions in the Bay Area. At Courtvizn, we strive to help players create a strong fundamental foundation.

" Practice doesn't make perfect, the CORRECT practice makes perfect", this is a statement that I emphasize to all of my students over and over again. Unless you are practicing the right way with the correct mechanics in every aspect of the game, then you aren't practicing at all. In fact, you could be making your game worse in the long run if you are practicing the incorrect way.

THE FOCUS: I am Coach Nick Nobriga and my mission is to develop young basketball players into the very best well-rounded fundamental players that they can be. I focus a great deal of attention to technique in every dimension of the game so that young players can excel their game the right way. I have played my high school basketball under one time Golden State Warrior player Coach Raymond Townsend who heads the RT basketball leagues here in the bay area. I played my college ball at San Jose State under the great Phil Johnson and Menlo College under coach Keith Larsen but had my career cut short due to numerous injuries. I have now taken my passion for the game and have redirected it towards coaching. I have been the head coach at Saint Andrews Middle school for 12 years where I have coached the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys' basketball teams. I have also coached in the NJB league In Almaden four years and NJB All Net In Saratoga for 4 years. Aside from coaching, I am also a certified personal trainer and I love to push people to reach their full potential. I have also been coaching one-on-one and small group clinics for the last 13 years and I take students of all ages and experience just as long as they are serious about learning this game and they take full advantage of what it is that I teach them.

    Frequently asked questions

First sessions with students are assessments in which I will evaluate a player in order to design a specific program tailored to their needs. This session is only $40

I have been doing private and small

group clinics for close to 13 years now as well as coaching various AAU teams and school teams

I usually charge $60 dollars for a one hour session.
I have had a strong passion for the game at a very early age. Unfortunately during my freshman year of college I suffered a complete dislocation and compound fracture of my right ankle. I recovered from that and the next year I ended up tearing my MCL in my left knee. After that it was too painful to play the game anymore, however, my passion for the game still burned strongly so I decided to coach the game.
I have worked with all different types of students, ranging in both age and experience level. I have coached players as young as 5 years old all the way up to city college basketball players
I would advise them to do their research on each teacher and find out what that teacher is most competent in teaching.
They should ask what the teacher is most custom to teaching. What the teacher's strengths are and how long they have been coaching.
