Frequently asked questions

My typical process working with a new student is to determine their level of play, skill, and maturity. Baseball is such a difficult sport with so many different aspects of the game that need to be taught. They only real way to develop is to work at it consistently. Having an experienced mentor/coach can accelerate that process but ultimately it's the student's desire that will be the catalyst to the player's success.

I have been a part of organized baseball for nearly forty years as a player or coach. I have been blessed with many great opportunities and several impactful mentors/coaches along my journey. I have played college baseball and coached at the high school level. I now spend my time at the youth travel  baseball level preparing young players for competitive high school baseball.

I have a standard fee of $60 an hour. I also do small group settings at a lower rate.

I started private coaching while playing in junior college during my off time. I found sharing my knowledge and giving back to young players as rewarding. I am now a successful youth travel baseball coach and I continue to enjoy giving back to the sport that has given me so much.

I have worked with students of all ages and baseball maturity is a real thing. I have worked with some young players as young as 5 that were extremely engaged into the lesson and I have worked college players that were very resistant to instruction. I've seen it all in my coaching years. Baseball maturity is the key to a great session. Everyone matures at a different rate and for baseball as well.

I would suggest to look at as many coaches as possible. Every coach has a different approach and teaching one way may not resonate with a specific player. Don't let price be a determining factor, it's an investment in the players development. All avenues should be explored.
