About

I have been coaching youth basketball for 33 years and now have two daughters that are playing varsity basketball together in their summer league. The younger one is only in 7th grade but her talents, experience and the coach wanting her to go to the same school as her older sister has her playing with the varsity this summer. Eight girls that I have coached made varsity their freshmen year in high school. I have a degree in physical education and understand that having the perfect practice on key skills will develop a player. Practice does not make perfect but a lot perfect practices makes perfect. In basketball there is four areas that will make you a better player. I call it the SSBS areas; stretching exercises, strength exercises, ball handling and shooting.

    Frequently asked questions

I always go over the SSBS with every student and at every session.  Of course I do it at their level but in basketball you need to stretch, be strong, know how to handle the ball and shoot.

A degree in physical education and 33 experience coaching youth.

$20.00 an hour for one player

$15.00 an hour for two players

$10.00 an hour for three players

I always like working with the youth and wanting to give back.  I played varsity basketball and division 2 college basketball.  I always wanted to help the youth.

Boys and Girls but mostly girls and now my own two daughters from five years old to 18.

Seeing my two daughters playing on the same high school varsity basketball team, having fun and them contributing to their team winning the game.  I knew then all the training, coaching and hard work made them get to that level of play.

To look for experience and results of accomplishments from a trainer.

What are their goals for basketball.  What do they want to play by position and what do they want to get good at.
