South Los Angeles Youth Academy

Hello, my name is Prince Nortey. I am the head coach and technical director for (SLAY) South Los Angeles Youth Academy. I founded this club a year ago with parents who wanted their sons and daughters to learn and understand the true essence of the game of football (soccer).

I grew up in Malmö, Sweden, and played up to the first division. I also played in Greece and France.

I have taken my players, whom I have coached, all the way from grassroots football (AYSO) to the formation of our club. We have played in the CSL Club Football Championship and will likely be playing in the Premier in the fall with my 2009, 2008, and 2007 boys’ teams.

In my humble opinion, I am a highly knowledgeable coach who takes my craft seriously and develops players to become great.

With me as your personal coach, you will see improvements in your technical skills, game knowledge, and footwork, regardless of whether you are a goalkeeper or an outfield player.
