    Frequently asked questions

When I start with a new student, I like to quickly assess what level they're at and get right to work on helping them to play better and get more enjoyment out of music.

I studied privately with John Coppola, Bobby Shew (5 years), Uan Rasey, John Thomas and Bill Bing.
My lesson rates are $100/hour. We can do lessons in my home studio in the San Fernando Valley, online or I can come to you for an extra fee.
I started teaching at a music store in West Los Angeles called Adam's Music. There, I taught students of all levels, styles and ages for 20 years.
I have taught students ages 8 to 80, all styles and all levels. My students have ranged from beginners of any age, middle school, high school, college, comeback players or pros looking to do some troubleshooting.
I recently performed at the Hollywood Bowl with Latin Jazz legend, pianist Chucho Valdez. It's always an exhilarating thrill to perform with musical giants on that iconic stage in front of thousands of music fans. Also in 2024, I'll be celebrating my 20th year of performing with Oingo Boingo Former Members!
I am an expert at setting up beginning players and getting them off to a great start. I can also get them to the next level. Many students have studied with me 5 years or more. I'm also very adept at troubleshooting problems and coming up with a solution to make your playing easier and more enjoyable.
