About

Greetings my fellow warriors,

I am Trae Rabago and I am starting this training program based on my many years of not only playing the sports, but coaching them at levels as high as high school... WHILE STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL! I coached both Varsity Women's Volleyball and Varsity Women's Soccer at the high school level. I have 6+ years of coaching youth football at two of the best youth football teams out there in the state of California and even nationally most years. West Bay Rams of the Pop Warner league and Daly City Stars of the Snoop Dogg football league are the two that I am referring to. As for basketball, I have developed many kids one-on-one for free to help them be better. In addition to all of this coaching experience, I have also multiple years of experience in these sports as a player myself, playing at elite levels of travel ball in all sports that I mentioned above (football, soccer, volleyball and basketball). I spew all of this glimmer and glam to ultimately say, that with or without all of my experience, my passion, care and desire to better the person in front of me is genuine and runs deep. I am passionate about making sure kids understand the value of life and all of the lessons that these sports bring to them. I am Trae Rabago, and I'd love to be your next coach!

Frequently asked questions

The most important thing is establishing a connection between myself and my student. This can be done different ways depending on age, sport, position in that sport, and also the skill level. I tend to get creative on my first day with my student to make it as custom to them as possible so that they feel valued in my space.

Ex:

An 11 year old kid that plays goalie on his travel soccer team signs up. I would focus on getting to know him through some typical ice breaker questions and gather information about them. While gathering this information, I am simultaneously thinking about what types of drills would engage them based on their personality (I am a studying life and health coach so I definitely will utilize that knowledge throughout my coaching o the student always). A major point I make to the student is that the relationship between student and teacher is always interchangeable and I don't know it all so the space is open for healthy dialogue and understanding so that we can become the best team together. I never want my students to feel they have no voice but also I make it evident that respect is necessary both ways.

Being that I am a studying life and health coach, I have been able to correlate those principles and teachings to my life easily due to my past in sports. The idea of habit change runs rampant through my life, so the focus on the minor details of a player's skills is imperative to their advancement on the field or court. I am able to teach my students how and why moving your foot or arm a certain way helps make the shot or pass rather than me just yelling at them to do it right! In addition to this, I know the stress it is to be an athlete so that relateability is huge right out of the gates.

I have packages that I offer based on sport and need of the child!
