Hello! My name is Matilda. I have been teaching for 23 years and obtained my Bachelor of Music from Hong Kong Baptist University. I am also awarded DipABRSM and ATCL diploma in Performance from the Royal School of Music and Trinity College London. I am experienced in teaching different age groups from 3 to 75 years old, from beginner to advanced level. All my students have obtained merit and distinction results in the UK's ABRSM music exam.

My online students in New York also got Outstanding and Excellent in NYSSMA.

I focus on student's basic technique, at the same time I understand every student is different. Therefore I design and adopt various methods of teaching that are better suited for my students.

Enjoying music is the key, I always feel content when I know my students have learned and are inspired from my lessons. I love to see my students enjoy playing music.

Matilda really understands me well enough (I’ve never met her before btw) to keep me motivated and interested to learn from her. And to top it off, she’s a very funny and loveable person who makes me feel like a person and make this musical journey- our journey. She makes classes intersting and makes sure to choose a path on what ways to develop my skills better all while explaining to me why- and that’s important! (If you can’t tell, I really love her, she’s AWESOME!
