About
Being a lifelong artist, art educator, and passions creator, I love to help, people find their creative spirit through different forms of art.
I have an art educator of students K-8 for 15 years, and have also taught art to adults and special, populations since 1986.
Teaching varied skills levels, it is important for me to learn my students needs and interests to help them be successful in art. I create projects and also help my students develop lifelong art skills in painting, ceramics, digital art, drawing, and mixed media.
I love to help others find their creative spirit through art.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to do introductions over Zoom or FaceTime, so we can see each other. Then I begin a dialog of the student's art interests, as well as them possibly showing me their previous artwork so I may assess their needs and skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Fine Arts and am self taught in many other areas including digital iPad art using Procreate, Photoshop, and other drawing and painting apps.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge by the hour and request payment for the lesson on Venmo prior to the scheduled lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a long time studio artist and moved to a new city. I found myself in need of a job to help with expenses. After learning of an art teaching position in the local paper, I applied for the position at the school and was hired an hour later. I have been at this school for 15 years teaching art K-8 and Technology 3 and 4 grades.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked with developmentally disabled adults in a day program, retired communities, adults, and school age children.
