Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At the beginning of teaching new students, first clearly understand the students' strengths and weaknesses, and choose a practice homework that suits the students' abilities. This can build self-confidence and lay the foundation for the next assignment. When the interaction between students and teachers is stable, students will enjoy the fun and sense of accomplishment in painting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was born in Guangzhou, China 1960 and graduated from Academy of Fine Arts Guangzhou 1987 as an oil painter. Before I reside in Sacramento California I worked as a photographer in San Francisco 1989-2001, until now I have been an independent artist since the year of 1998.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system for one class (1.5 hours):
$60 per one student only
$30 per student in two people
$25 per student in three to five people
How did you get started teaching?
The first lesson is to understand each other first. My concerns for new students are: what they want to learn, what goals they want to achieve, their learning ability and communication habits. Before get out of class ends, I can tell the students my views and plans for how to study well.
