About
HEllo! Im so happy you are here. My favorite part of what I do is seeing a student who thinks they hae no artistic talent, and after a class or two getting excited that they do have talent! They can paint, are in spired to paint, and I believe where I stand out for my students is creating that completely fun, safe place that is motivating, encouraging and unitimidating.
I love sharing art in general, especially art that takes people away from problems for a bit, makes them smile, allows them a place to play and have fun!
I have worked with groups of children, and clients male and female of every age. What I hae found if we are in spired and supported we CAN create art, When we feel open to our own unique way of expressing art, drop the judgment and allow ourselves to play amazing things happen!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to chat first and set up lessons to fit your wishes based on what is interesting to you. It is important to know why you are wanting art classes, for fun, professionally, what you enjoy painting, and what they are looking to accomplish from the lessons!
I incorporate color theory making it fun and intersting, m not into boring facts and rigid structured learning. I do think it is im[portant to learn the basic techniques to start with, and to have an udnerstanding of how to use watercolor as it is like no other medium. Throughout the progression I go deeper ito the specific how to's, and ore advanced techniques.
I like starting with washes, color wheels, and strokes to build muscle memory, as well as adding in various watercolor techniques so the student gets familiar with this medium.
I also enjoy teaching watercolor flowers as it is simple and fun! It is one of my favorites and an easy way to get to know wateroclors and create beautiful fun pieces bulding your confidene!
Once I know your Why and reasons and vision for thier lessons I can create lessons that fit you perfectly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been painting since a child. I have also taken numerous watercolor classes in college and various classes online etc to learn new techniques. I am a constant learner, and study art daily. For me constant practice has been the best.
I have painted for so many years it has been a learning through this daily practice. Trying new tools, techniques, playing and having fun with the medium to see what it can do! I love finding happy surprises.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 50 per hour, and supply all of my students needs, using student grade watercolors, paper, brushes, and any supplies needed to begin. I encourage my students if they stick with my lessons to purchae their own. This way they can practice at home, get the expeirence of working with higher grade products and paint daily.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching yearsa ago as I was constantly asked to teach clients purcahsing my art. I then went into teach8ing children in groups which was a lot of fun. Since then I have shared tutorials on my IG page, and all of my business has been refererals and those buying my work at my art shows and events.
It came very organically and has been a gift to me as much as my students!
What types of students have you worked with?
Children, adults, teens, all ages, I worked for a year with a cancer patient. My favorite students are those open to learning, and looking to have fun, experiment and play!
I am constantly saying Everyone is an artist and Anyone can paint. I am living proof of that.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
MY funnest events recently have been tutorials onine, they are fun easy, and was a way I Could continue sharing art through Covid. It was also a way to introduce the fun of watercolors to many that may not have believed they could paint, and paid for a class. This is exciting to me as I love to see students who never thought they could paint get excited about what they are capable of!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
