About
My passion is to help people grow and improve personally and athletically. I believe it begins with setting goals that align with deep internal convictions. We then create and evolve a system facilitating the discipline necessary to achieve goals. I enjoy nothing more than helping people realize their full unbounded potential. Achieving things others consider impossible is magical.
Experience:
VERY wild and ineffective as a young pitcher. I never took lessons and did not have a disciplined routine to promote excellence.
High School - Played 3rd base at Casa Roble High School my senior year (1996) and heard the umpire say strike 3 a lot when I batted. Working out and developing my body was the primary reason I was able to stay in the lineup.
Junior College - American River Junior College - began as a third baseman and diverted focus to pitching. Very wild and disappointing results after countless tweaks and attempts to modify mechanics. There were many times during my years here where I wanted to quit baseball. Nobody around me would have ever known that I wanted to quit however. I always maintained a great attitude, inspired teammates, and worked exceptionally hard. I had high expectations and improper training methods, leaving me consistently disappointed with my performance. I was drafted twice by the Montreal Expos because I had continued to significantly develop my body which signaled potential to some scouts.
University - Western Kentucky - I received a baseball scholarship based on potential, work ethic, attitude, and solid academics, despite very disappointing Junior College statistics. I was fortunate to have a former professional pitcher and college standout (Clyde Keller) as a pitching coach here and for the first time began to put a few things together toward the end of my first year. I was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 15th round and accepted a signing bonus to begin my professional journey.
