Tutor

I have been teaching in a classroom environment for over ten years. I have taught in a career school environment, Associate programs, Bachelor programs, and Master programs. I understand when a student and/or their parents are asking for a tutor, they are asking for more than just tutoring. Confidence needs to be restored, the feeling of being alone needs to be replace with the feeling of having a team, a mentor behind their endeavors. I have the pleasure to start teaching for the Premier Education Group located in Mass. I taught at their Harris School of Business located in Cherry Hill, NJ, where I taught beginning Excel, Financial Accounting, and business Math. I became Dean of Education after six months. I have taught for Prism Corp located in Cherry Hill, NJ. I was teaching Accounting, Quickbooks and Peachtree for their Para-Accounting school called PJA in Upper Darby, Pa, My position as Program Director, have me the opportunity to make changes to the curriculum and to participate as mentor. I am trained by Pacific Institute as a facilitator of the student success program. I am a 1099 employee of Corporate College Services, where I taught Algebra, Statistics, and Financial in their Bachelor program. The students were employees of the company that offered free education. I also had the pleasure to teach Corporate Finance at the Master Level. I taught Prudential office in Dresher, Pa and the Subaru Company Headquarters located in Cherry Hill, NJ. My last position which was where i taught Algebra, Cost Control, Excel, Access, and Accounting was Walnut College located in Philadelphia, Pa. I have been a private tutor for over three years. My practice in New Jersey was called "Bill's College- Tutor. I am a member of the National Tutoring Association and I am also a mentor for the University of Phoenix. This not a paying position, but it gives me a avenue to give back. I have an Associates Degree in Business Accounting from Los Angeles Valley College, a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in International business from Devry University's Keller Graduate School. I have earned the Teacher of Semester twice from Harris School of Business and PJA. I have help students create business plans for their companies. I had the great pleasure of teaching the owner of Geno's Steak in Philadelphia,Pa and been an outside advisor. I am a certified Quickbook user. I my teaching style makes me approachable and trustworthy of all conversations even if they are not related to school. I truly believe that teaching is a gift. I have been lucky to have some great mentors, who having given me the skills necessary to use this gift to support any human being who is trying to changes his/her life, increase his/her skills or even start his/her own business.
