How did you get started teaching?
I have volunteered for many years teaching simple drawing and artist tool familiarity. I have a love of cartooning that is mirrored many times by the vast imagination that children have. Given the opportunity to help children open their imagination and sharpen it as a tool has been a continued source of happiness for me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of preschool age to the more advanced adult hobbyist.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you ask tons of questions and feel confident in your choice.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There should be conversations about what your goals are in a month. A student should also ask style questions and what sorts of tools the instructor uses.
