About
As a classically trained artist, photographer, and director I am here to teach you more than just how to use a camera. With easy to digest, hands-on lessons I will help you understand the full potential of your gear and help you start taking pictures that exceed your expectations from day one. As we fine tune your technical skills and the decision making process that goes behind picking your setting I will also start incorporating lessons of composition, design, lighting, and color so you can go from snapshots to art in no time.

What I enjoy most about photography is capturing moments in a way that makes them feel grander than reality. What I love about teaching is helping others see the world as art waiting to be made.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student my first priority is understanding what they already know and what exactly they are trying to learn. Getting a clear understanding of their skills helps me determine how much time needs to be spent on theory and technical knowledge versus creative execution and more advanced training in lighting/posing/etc.
I work to clearly understand the student’s goals so we can work as efficiently as possible to get them where they want to be without sacrificing the base knowledge that will give them the confidence to make creative decisions on the fly.
