I love to teach out of the box, going out and about allowing the student to look at life in front of them differently. Things they may see every day but really have not notice them because they are not taking time to smell the roses. I enjoy working and teaching young and old people. I have a wealth of knowledge that I do not mind sharing for anyone who is power-hungry for the knowledge. I know that it is my purpose to teach and if I am able to change one person's life and they go on and be a better photographer than I am I have done my job. I have a way of teaching that is creative and technical, but not too technical that they cannot understand. I will help each student to capture that special moment in time through teaching them what it is to have a photographic eye through compostion, and angles.
I became interested in photography my last year of high school. I learned basic B/W printing, once I saw the photographic paper emerged in the developer and the image appears like magic I was obsessed, and I am still passionate and captivated today. For me taking pictures is like breathing, I cannot live my life in without it. It is my passion it is my love. I love that I can capture a moment in time by clicking my shutter button, a moment in time that will never happen again. I operating a freelance photography business for over 20 years, capturing weddings, portraits, headshots, special events, red carpet and my favorite travel photography which has allowed me to go to places like Jamaica, Kenya, Israel, Mexico, and Canada. Terri Griffin Photography "Preserving a Moment In Time" I have even had the awesome opportunity to photograph celebrities’ stars and Ms. Rosa parks. I recently won the Nikon Storytelling Scholarship 2019 and presently I am working on my Master of Fine Arts in Film, Television, and Photography with emphasis on documentary filmmaking at Mount Saint Mary’s University.
