Glendale School of Security & Investigative Services (GSSIS) is a veteran-owned, BSIS-licensed training facility (TFF 1351) based in Glendale, California. The school delivers California BSIS-compliant security education through a blend of online coursework and required in-person instruction. Offerings include guard card modules, use of force, defensive tactics, firearms (open carry), baton, chemical agents/pepper spray, handcuffing, loss prevention, report writing, situational awareness, executive protection, private investigations, and continuing education requirements.
Instruction is led by a retired California law enforcement professional and former U.S. Army Senior Drill Sergeant with Range Master and Defensive Tactics Instructor credentials, and more than two decades of college-level teaching experience. Training includes scheduled hands-on sessions for certifications, with recurring classroom and range dates. Classes are held on-site in Glendale, with off-site group training available by appointment.
GSSIS is also an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support, issuing certificates upon successful completion.
