What is your typical process for working with a new student?

With new students I spend a few minutes talking with the student to get an idea of their levels and issues.

Bachelor's Degree from Boston University

Master's Degree from Antioch University

How did you get started teaching?

I started with one student then I realized how much I enjoyed teaching and how great students became. One of my teachers a Noble Prize winner told me that I would be a great teacher. 

What types of students have you worked with?

Every kind of students from the CEO of the worlds largest construction in Los Angeles to an Italian lawyer to a new student at a local Santa Monica college. 

Recent students have come from: Australia, Beijing, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Guinea, India, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Liverpool, London, Madrid, Mexico, Moscow, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paris, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Tokyo, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

Find a teacher that understands your issues and someone you like.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How soon they can start and how many classes they want to take. What are their methods of teaching and how can the student help the process.
