There isnt any teacher out there like Tony Pretzello. Tony completely turned my playing around over the course of the 6 years Ive studied with him. Before Tony, I only knew rock progressions and was lacking a lot of technique. Tony introduced me to the world of jazz on guitar, which is something that can look so intimidating- yet Tony breaks it down and makes it simple. Tonys teaching methods and patience are like no other guitar teacher Ive had, and thats the reason why Ive stayed with him for 6 years. Tony is extremely passionate about music, entertaining, and fun to take lessons from. He has worked with some incredible musicians and it shows in his teaching. Tony has always worked with my schedule and does lessons with me in-person, and online. My musical vocabulary has completely expanded with his methods, learning music theory, jazz charts, arrangements, chords, harmony, dynamics. After studying with Tony, my musical understanding has blossomed from his holistic approach to teaching the guitar. I really recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their skills exponentially, because hell take you there. If you want more details, reach out to me at [email protected] // 818-643-0513.

I started taking weekly guitar lessons from Tony in the 3rd grade at St. Cyril of Jerusalem, and continued until my freshman year of college. I’m now away at college but still meet with him over the school breaks from university for lessons/jam sessions.
Tony has taught me a wide range of guitar skills; from rock songs for my middle school band, to advanced fingerstyle technique and improvisational soloing. While he ensures students learn the essentials such as scales and technique, he also keeps them engaged by teaching the type of music that students want to learn. Any style of guitar I have become interested in learning Tony has been able to teach. We’ve gone over blues, rock and roll, jazz, improvisational jazz soloing, fingerstyle, and classical.
Tony will make students laugh and learn at the same time. He’s great at what he does and he loves doing it. If you want to get so good at guitar that your friends become envious then Tony is your guy.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or clarifications at [email protected] or 818-263-0554.

Let some of my previous students tell you....

    Enjoyable, Challenging, Fulfilling

I am finding my lessons with Tony P. to be very helpful. He is personable and knowledgable. He also seems genuinely interested in seeing me achieve my full potential as a guitarist.

    And another...

    Excellent Teacher and Guitarist!

Tony has been a great instructor; he is a very knowledgeable and skilled guitarist with so much passion that is very infectious! He really gives me the motivation to try harder until I get it! He is very patient and tries to understand how I learn and what I want to learn and customizes the lesson to my learning ability. It's not easy teaching me, but some how he figures it out! Tony thanks for all your time, effort and genuine care in teaching me the guitar and being the jump start for a lifetime of guitar playing!

Studied Spanish Classical guitar at UC Berkeley, private studies with George Van Eps and Jimmy Stewart. Composition and arranging with Bill Fritz, Cal Arts

i usually charge 35 per lesson.  I also hava another option where I charge 20 per lesson if you buy 5 lessons at $100. This gives the student and /or partent an opportunity to evaulate the progress.

I began teaching at private schools, and began to add on private students as well.  I am also bonded by the LAPD.

All sorts of students have approached me including professional guitarist to enhance there chord playing.  Children from 7 on up to adults. Beggining to advanced.
