About
I taught over 500 students to paint and have 7 years of experience teaching art classes to beginner or intermediate students. My classes are custom made based on the interest of the students. I will bring relevant material to supplement each lesson. My background is in painting and have traveled the world studying painting in various countries.
I am drawn to the timelessness of the human figure as the focal point of a painting. I find people to be my biggest source of inspiration. This appreciation extends also to the students I am honored to teach. I never quite know where the painting will take us and what skills will be honed to match the inspiration the student has, but on many occasions we both are wonderfully surprised by the results. As a teacher I feel I am most useful when the lessons inspire. The technique will come with time but it takes inspiration to get there!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For the first class we will explore basic art techniques with a short lesson and then pick a image to begin a project next class. Depending on the level of experience of the student lessons are customized to each student.
