EVOLVE -Athlete faciltitates growth in every training session. We not only assess a clients abilities, but customize training to best fit each athlete.

Coach Megan's favorite part of coaching is witnessing her clients or teams growth. Seeing swimmers light up after they have sucessfully done something we have been working on or having my athlete look over to the sideline after executing something I have taught them in a game.

Coach Williams began helping young volleyball enthusiasts when she was in high school when her team would host clinics and camps. She always wanted to help people, even if they didn’t ask.  Coach Williams felt like she connected with many kids and often saw very rapid or immediate results from her feedback so she thought she would try coaching professionally after graduating high school.  Megan really admired her head varsity volleyball coach who inspired her to follow in her footsteps and mold players to become elite well rounded athletes.

Coach Williams has trained children as young as 14 months and adults as old as 60 to become stronger, more versatile and independent swimmers.

Coach Megan has primarily focused on coaching High School aged students in volleyball, however, she can teach all ages and skill levels due to her vast array of knowledge and ability to give specific and thorough feedback.

Coach Williams recalls a time when she received a very kind text message from an athlete she been coaching for over three years. The player would go on to inform her that she made Outside Hitter- (option 1) as a freshman on the JV team.  This meant she surpassed her goals that she set during training with me but met the expectations I had made for her. To make it even better- she was also chosen as the team captain.

When seeking out the right trainer for you- I believe the level of communication between athlete and coach to be the most valuable. The athlete should feel comfortable asking questions and the coach should be knowledgeable in their answers. If they don’t know the answer- they have the background and the foresight to find the answer.  Coaches’ knowledge and ability to translate information into a way that the athlete can understand is also an important variable when choosing the right coach. Personality match is also a valuable assessment when choosing a coach. Maybe you are the one who just needs someone there to offer support, or maybe you are the type who likes someone to push you or even challenge you? Or maybe you are the type to excel with tough love? No matter your personality type, you should find a coach that motivates and inspires you to perform at your optimum level while still offering a safe and informative learning environment.

Before discussing your goals or needs with your coach it is important to evaluate a few details:

How long do they plan to commit to training? What frequency (how often each week) do they intend to train? How long (how many hours per day) do they plan to train? What is their level of commitment? Will they be doing any practice at home to gain more repetitions and familiarity? Will they be doing any other training to compliment the routine? What are they looking to achieve and what does the timeline look like in order to achieve that goal?  Will they be complimenting training with a nutrition program? Are they training to evolve as an athlete, doing it to stay physically active or just for fun?
