Students will learn foundational techniques and advanced skills in the medium they choose to learn. I offer classes in Still Life, Figure Drawing, Portraiture (learn how to make realistic features and skin tones), Landscapes (plein air painting) Realstic Animals, Cartooning, Abstract and more.
What medium would you like to explore? I teach Pencil Drawing, Charcoal, Water Color Paint, Acrylic Paint, Oil Paint, Oil or Chalk Pastel, Graphic Design (Illustrator & Photo Shop) Choose the course best for you.
All classes include lessons in the elements of creating composition, linear perspective, color and monochrome mixing, shading techniques, balance and more.
Graduate from Art instruction Schools, An AA in Fine/Studio Art and currently finishing Bacholors Degree at Cal State San Bernardino. I have training in Art Therapy for Greif Support, I love to work with children in the autism spectrum that show an interest in art. Ive been a professional artist for 30 years and have been teaching for 15 years.
I enjoy seeing my students faces light up during the creative process. Art is therapy and I instill into my students what a magnificent gift it is for the soul to create art. When a student, child or senior, young adult, men and women produces beautiful works of art they gain a confidence within themselves that is truly magical. I look forward to creating with you!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I speak with the student over the phone to discuss their current level in understanding art. We discuss what the student desires to learn and available schedule.
At our first one hour meeting I will supply a complimentary sketch book with pencils and accessories or canvas with brushes and basic set of paint colors. During this time we will begin by discussing some fundamental techniques and needed skills such as value and colors, shading, styles, linear perspective and more. We will discuss a project that the student would like to complete, such as a particular photo of a landscape or of a person that the student would like to draw or paint. As the one hour classes ( or the time agreed upon) progress step by step instruction will be given.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certificate Of Completion from Art Instruction School. Art Instruction School was founded in 1914 by The Bureau of Engraving, Inc., to train illustrators for the growing printing industry — and particularly for The Bureau itself. The growth in popularity led to added fields of instruction, and Art Instruction Schools soon included cartooning, color, perspective drawing and other art lessons. In time, the Fundamentals of Art program was developed to include all popular art techniques and became recognized as one of the most extensive art education programs available.

4 Week Course ~ includes 4 one hour sessions, and a complimentary Sketch Book with pencils and accessories or a 16x20 canvas with brushes and basic paint color set. $135.00
8 Week Course ~ includes 8 one hour sessions, and a complimentary sketch book with pencils and accessories or a 16x20 canvas with brushes and basic paint color set. $265.00
Host a painting party with 8 or more people. 2 hour class $35.00 per person. Canvas 16x20, brushes, paints and easles are included.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching privately when I graduated from highschool. Then I became certified in grief support as an art therapist. I enjoy helping people allow the creative process to bring peace.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with men and women, young adults and children as well as seniors. Do you have a child with autism? I have experience with refrences. I teach group painting classes, paint and sip parties with themes and other organized events. All students are welcome!
