About
I believe in showing excellence through beauty and that beauty should be simple. My products, services, and Masterclasses are catered to women of excellence who want to bring out the most excellent version of them self. That's where Artistry By Imani has made its beauty market in the industry.
I absolutely love to take my students to the next level! I've learned over the years that a practical teacher is the best teacher and that's why my students leave our session so knowledgeable.
I love to see the progress and matriculation from not knowing to being fully skilled with techniques that would usually be learned at the master makeup artist level.
My goal is to fully squat my students with what they need to transfer that inner beauty to the outter beauty.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching my 2nd year into artistry (2015) based on the requests of my clients. Lots of women wanted to know about foundation matching & color theory. It grew to me now hosting Masterclasses for multiple women at a time.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ages 18-47 of all ethnic backgrounds and skin types.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I hosted The Vampy Smoke Masterclass virtually February 2021 where I got the chance to teach my students how to create the perfect Smokey eye for any event, paired with a beautiful bold red lip. The feedback I got was so incredible I made it available on my website so women could have access to it anywhere in the world.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would consider years of experience as well which styles of makeup the artist does. This will be pivotal in what they can teach you.
IE: If you like a natural look, you shouldn't go to makeup class with a makeup artist who practices drag makeup.
Another consideration would be price point. Ask yourself how many times will I use this knowledge and how much time will it save me? If the price is equal to your time considerations then that is the price for you. Do I need a premium service or am I ok with avergae service? Am I confident that the artistry and service I am recieving are what I need?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What type of makeup would you like to learn?
- An everyday 15 min look because you are busy
- An event look because you have a special event coming up
- A sexy soultry look because you're going on a hot date
How much time do I want to take doing my makeup?
What is my most problematic area?
If I could change 1 thing about my skin, what would it be?
