Jay is an outstanding and remarkable teacher because he pinpoints a students strengths and weaknesses and tailors each lesson in a way that the student will best understand. In addition, his extensive experience as both a competitive fencer and a professional referee provides unique insight for the student. Ive always had trouble with preparation and hes helped me overcome those fears that would propel me to attack at the wrong time.

Jay is a very patient coach who pays a great detail in building the fundamental skills in a fencer, spends extra time to correct his students mistakes, reviews tapes in post match study to help his student to adjust and improve.

His own rich experiences also help his students in a real tournament because he can quickly identify and device a counter attack strategy for his students.

My daughter tried many different sports before she started to know Fencing. Since day one she has developed strong interest in it. Now after two and half years, shes not only looking forward to going to the club right after school but also believes that Fencing will be her life time passion. This is heavily credited to Coach Jay who knows exactly how to introduce this wonderful sport to the beginners and to help the fencers at each level to grow and improve. Jay has decades of teaching experience. Besides the group lessons, he also gives private lessons tailored to each individuals strength and weakness. He has incredible talent and dedication to the sport of fencing. His focused and personalized lessons are preparing his students well to reach their full potentials. He is also a mentor who brings his expertise to invest in his students success, guide them effectively, and support them as individuals.
