Aeronautica America
About
What makes Aeronautica different is its emphasis on quality over quantity. We are picky, and rightfully so: flying an aircraft is an immense responsibility, and we take the time to get to know every flight training candidate to ensure that they are up to the task. We believe in rigorous training in a safety conscious environment where students and instructors work together to really bring out a student’s passion for aviation. We create aviators, not pilots, and make no compromises when it comes to performance or safety. Preparation, dedication, and commitment are three traits that we look for in our students, and we follow strict quality control standards to ensure that only the best aviators make the cut.
Seeing a student transform from a wide-eyed dreamer to a safe and professional aviator is the most rewarding experience for us. We also demand safe and professional operation of our fleet aircraft and demand the highest performance standards regardless of whether the student seeks to become a professional pilot or not. This is not your casual flight training operation: we want students to be safe and professional in how they command an aircraft, and demand excellence. We push our students to reach their maximum potential, and there is no greater reward than seeing our students succeed in aviation and carry an aviator’s passion for this amazing feat of human engineering and technology.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We begin by getting to know our students to learn more about what motivates them and what their goals are. Afterward, we prepare a training plan that most closely aligns with their goals. Aeronautica America provides many materials to its students for free, including checklists, manuals, and other resources that will assist in their training program. Additionally, Aeronautica America conducts remote ground sessions using our Discord server, allowing students to learn critical aviation theories from the comfort of their own home or office.
Aeronautica operates in a slightly different manner than most training providers. In an effort to ensure student-instructor synergy and proper course progress, all Aeronautica students will be training for a probationary period of up to 60 days in preparation for an Initial Stage Check (“ISC”). The ISC is intended to gauge student progress to ensure that students are learning at the proper pace. This ensures that the student’s time and money is well spent and respected, and that Aeronautica delivers high quality instructional services that mesh well with the student’s goals. By agreeing to begin training with Aeronautica, students must agree to prepare for and pass the ISC to continue training. The ISC must be passed with up to 90% proficiency for Aeronautica to continue to provide the student with continued aeronautical training. If the student fails the ISC, Aeronautica will no longer be able to provide flight training services. ISC standards are objective, and performance based, and are intended to ensure safe operations and maintain high quality standards that make Aeronautica stand out.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you’re reviewing this profile, it means that you’re serious about flight training. Our advice to students is simple: be prepared to invest in safety. What that means is this: you cannot start and then stop your training. You must be prepared to be in this for the long haul. Stopping and restarting training or long pauses and hiatuses is the quickest way to lose money. Consistency is key. Students should set a fixed flight and study schedule, and many students find that two lessons per week is a great starting point. Students also should not ignore ground knowledge: it costs nothing to study freely available materials that are either published by the FAA or FAA approved, and Aeronautica independent contractor instructors are ready to provide assistance and resources to help students save money and become true aviators.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should know beforehand what their goals are. Ask yourself: why do you want to become a pilot? What kind of flying do you really want to do? How much time are you willing to devote to this process? Aeronautica independent contractor instructors are tough: they demand high performance standards because flying an aircraft is an immense responsibility. When you become the pilot in command, you and only you are the first and last line of defense. You’re decisions determine the outcome of the flight; and there is nothing more rewarding than earning your certification and taking command of your aircraft, and enjoying the wonders of flight.
