About
My service stands out because I have a great depth of knowledge in the areas of middle school algebra and geometry. Having taken some of the most challenging courses in these areas and mastering them, I feel I am well qualified to teach middle schoolers and elementary school children the foundations and first principles they will need to succeed when they reach higher levels of math.
What I enjoy most about the work I do is I was once a kid who really struggled and hated anything to do with math. But as I got older I realized that there are 2 key components in master math. Understanding and Practicing. I enjoy teaching kids who are having trouble with math because I want to share with them the same knowledge that I received during middle school so that they made succeed in the future.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is to first understand where they are struggling and what they need/want to improve on. I then make a detailed, step-by-step plan to educate the student in the best way possible so that they may fully understand the concepts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a sophomore in high school and have taken, Trigonometry, PreCalculus, Algebra 2, Algebra 1, and Geometry, I am currently taking AP Calculus AB.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing system is essentially based on the number of topics to cover. That is the only place where the price varies. Otherwise, my regular fee is 35$ per tutoring hour. Students can choose to have up to 2-hour sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring kids around me and in my neighborhood when I was in about 7th grade. I took my passion for mathematics and tried to share it with elementary school children who had a hard time with math and disliked it. I also have regularly volunteered after school to help children with math concepts.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from 3rd to 7th grade. Most of the students were usually having a hard time finding a definitive way to study or having a hard time understanding the concepts they were learning in school. Some of the students simply came to me to just get ahead of school so they feel more prepared for their classes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Some advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher would be to first have a set plan on what they want to accomplish with the tutoring sessions and choose which teacher they think will be the best fit to cater to their needs. I mainly tutor students in middle or elementary school who need help understanding the math or want to get ahead.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The students should think about how much they want the tutor to cover and also how many hours they are willing to invest in order to get better. With this knowledge, the tutor can make a good plan to help their student.
