Art By Tara Rocker
I love painting! I enjoy painting with others and giving tips, that they can immediately see results with. I have qwerky humor, and very mellow, yet direct. I have been teaching lessons to groups for 3 years, and painting for over 20 years. I have sold numerous Acrylic paintings online and I have a website www.artbytararocker.com dedicated to my artwork and illustrations. I actually use multiple mediums, yet I favor acrylic. On Facebook I can be found under Tara Rocker's Creative Art and Writing. Instagram @artbytararocker (1000+followers). What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I complete a verbal assessment of what they are looking to get from the art lesson. If there are any specific techniques that they wish to strengthen or learn. Cover some basic of acrylic painting or watercolor. Start with a short study of a still object.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am primarily self taught, and have been painting for over 20 years. I had entry level art classes in college. I now paint part time and sale commissions, lead group paint sessions. Giving art lessons is the fun part of my art business. I consider Acrylic paint to be the strength I can share, with typically abstract, or mural like creations.

Prior to establishing my career I worked with students in Elementary, Middle, and High School enrichment programs. I was also a Substitute teacher.
