About
I have been teaching art for 14 years here in Los Angeles. I live in an Art Colony near downtown LA. I’d be happy to teach you how to paint portraits, landscapes, still-life and abstract art units variety of media. I love teaching and really give my students the time, honest feedback and attention needed to grow as an artist. You can see my work on IG@kivvi22.
I love experimenting and am constantly growing as an artist myself by collaborating and visiting as many exhibits as I can. Teaching is the most rewarding job because I can see my students growth and watch as they light up while finding great joy in the art making process.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually begin with art basics like drawing, shading, dimension, line, composition and materials. Then we imitate the masters and move on to personal creative expression.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended UC Irvine and revived a BA, earned my teaching credential at Cal State Long Beach and have been teaching high school for 15 years and at the Cinservatory of Fine Art for 14 years. I have also been doing private lessons this past year.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically change $35 for the lesson if the student provides the materials or $50 if I provide the materials.
