About
I am Sherrise Smith a graduate of Crossroads School and a Hall of Fame Inductee, 4 year starter and graduate of UC Berkley. I have over 20 years training experience teaching players from youth to the Pros. As a player I earned All-Pac 10, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year. Currently I train players in college, HS, International, and WNBA Pros in addition to youth players. I have a strong passion to develop players skills so that they become confident, and fundamentally sound players so they can succeed on any level that they desire. This is accomplished through Private Sessions, Small Group, Classes and Clinics. All private and small group sessions are to provided customized personal attention to address the weaknesses, and build upon the strengths of the player. All players will be given an assessment, and a weekly training workout to be conducted at home.
I find most rewarding seeing players that start with many challenges and see their growth and improvement. The players that are already talented, challenging them to reach and attain even greater accomplishments.

How did you get started teaching?
I got started training players in HS for young players that wanted help. After graduating UC Berkeley I was on the MTV show "Who's Got Game" hosted by Magic Johnson. This show created a lot of popularity and I started my own player development company. That led me to training players in the WNBA, Mc Donald All-Americans, and conducting clinics as far as Russia.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as 6 years of age to professional athletes. I have trained over 20 McDonald All-Americans, and notable collegiate players from UConn, USC, Tenessee, Georgia, UCLA, Oklahoma, and Boston College, just to name a few.
My experience also iincludes working with players that have never played before.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice for a player that would like to train with a trainer like myself is to be clear on their goals, and dedicated and disciplined to train/practice on a daily basis.
