I am a professionally trained photographer by craft. I worked with a wide range of cameras and formats (4x5, 35mm, Lomo, DSLR). I studied History of Photography during my MFA at Brooks Institute of Photography and continued with Multidisciplinary Art at OTIS College of Art and Design.
I love seeing my students exploring, improving, and creating unique imagery that reflects their personality.
This teacher is what I needed. While I had been given some great books, and done some research on the web, I wasn't really confident with my DSLR and had generally been winging it. Alex's instruction did exactly what I needed. He helped train my eye to see exactly how the settings on my camera affected my photos. Being able to immediately apply the knowledge in class helped cement it into my aging brain. I found Alex engaging and patient, but never patronizing. I cannot wait for my next class!
